ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 13-38-8-2 record (8-19-5-1 at home, 5-19-3-1 on the road, 2-8 in overtime, 2-2 in shootouts) and in sixth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...The ICE will open a season-long five game road trip March 1 in EDMONTON before visits to SASKATOON March 3, PRINCE ALBERT March 4, MOOSE JAW March 5 and MEDICINE HAT March 7.
ROSTER UPDATE: KOOTENAY is carrying 23 players (two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 13 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of one 1996-born player, four 1997-born players, nine 1998-born players, six 1999-born players, and three 2000-born players...KOOTENAY has ten first-year players on its roster.
ROAST BEEF & PASTA DINNER: The KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB is hosting a ROAST BEEF AND PASTA DINNER Sunday, March 12 at the HERITAGE INN...The dinner will be attended by the KOOTENAY ICE PLAYERS and will start with cocktails at 4:30 pm...Tickets are $30.00 and are available by calling CAROLIN at 250-417-6593.
FAN BUS: The KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB has organized a FAN BUS to see the ICE take on the CALGARY HITMEN March 18...Bus trip packages are $50.00 for FAN CLUB members and $60.00 for non-members and include transportation and tickets to the game...For more information, visit the FAN CLUB TABLE during upcoming home games or contact CAROLIN at 250-417-6593.

INJURY: Forward AUSTIN WELLSBY will be out of the ICE lineup with a lower body injury for a length of time to be determined.
ONE YEAR AGO: After 61 games of the 2015-16 season the ICE were 10-46-5-0, after 62 games 10-46-6-0 and after 63 games 10-47-6-0.
