MACON, GA- After going 1-0-1 on the weekend against the Fayetteville FireAntz, the Macon Mayhem return home to face the Pensacola Ice Flyers and the Mississippi RiverKings on Friday and Saturday night. Both games will be played at 7:35 PM, with Saturday being Faith and Family Night and Teddy Bear Toss Night.

WEEKEND RECAP

The Mayhem played a home-and-home against Fayetteville this past weekend. At home on Friday night, the team lost 3-2 in a shootout, ending the team's 10-game winning streak. Macon's Matt Johnson scored with 26 seconds left in the third period to tie the game up, and then Joe Kalisz scored in the last round of the shootout for the victory. On Saturday night, Mark Rivera scored in the final minute of overtime to give the team the 3-2 win in overtime. Dennis Sicard scored two goals in the game as well.

SIEMER LOANED TO ECHL

The Mayhem and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kerr announced on Monday afternoon that forward John Siemer has been loaned to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits of the ECHL. Siemer leads the SPHL in scoring with 22 points in 15 games played for the Mayhem this season, scoring 10 goals and tallying 12 assists. The rookie recorded two assists in the team's last game at Fayetteville.

"Siemer has obviously been a huge part of our success this year as he leads the league in points," said Kerr. "He's a great two-way player who we'd love to see back in Macon this year, but we hope he does well in Greenville."

WEEKEND PROMOTIONS

The Mayhem will be running multiple promotions at the games this weekend. On Friday night, the team will be offering their Holiday Family Four-Packs, where customers will be able to get four tickets, four hot dogs, four Cokes, and four hats all for $45.

Saturday night will be Faith and Family Night and Teddy Bear Toss Night at the Macon Coliseum. Fans who attend the game are encouraged to bring a new teddy bear to the game, and after the first Macon Mayhem goal, everyone will throw their teddy bears on the ice. All teddy bears will be donated to the Children's Hospital of Macon. Also, the team will be wearing their Ugly Christmas Sweater uniforms for the game, and after the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the Children's Hospital of Macon. The Holiday Family Four-Packs will also be offered for Saturday night's game.

Before the game on Saturday, there will be a pregame concert from Pursuit Worship. There will also be corn hole, ladder golf, and much more for the fans to enjoy.

WEEKEND PREVIEW

The Mayhem will face the Pensacola Ice Flyers for the first time this season at home on Friday night. Pensacola is 5-5-4 on the season with 14 points in 14 games. This past weekend, they went 1-0-1 against the Mississippi RiverKings, as they won 2-1 on Friday and lost 2-1 in a shootout on Saturday night. Louis Belisle leads the team in points with 10, followed by Austin McKay with nine. Ice Flyers' goaltender Matt Zenzola is 3-2-1 this season with a goals against average (GAA) of 2.19 and a save percentage (SV%) of .922.

Saturday night's game will be played against the Mississippi RiverKings, who the Mayhem are 1-0-0 against this season. Mississippi is in fourth place at 10-5-0 on the season. Their leading scorer is Cullen Bradshaw with 15 points on the season. Peter Di Salvo has played six games this season in net, going 5-1-0 with a 2.45 GAA and a .913 SV%, while Brad Barone is 4-3-0 with a 2.16 GAA and a .923 SV%.
