Bacon Bits:
-The IceHogs concluded the 2016-17 season with a record of 25-39-9-3, 62 points and ranked eighth in the Central Division. The Hogs went 9-24-4-1 on the road and 16-15-5-2 at home.
-In their three contests during Week 27, the Hogs scored a combined five goals and gave up 13 finishing the season scoring an average of 2.3 goals per game and allowing 3.2 goals per game.
-The Hogs concluded the season on Saturday with a sellout crowd of 6,398. Rockford totaled six sellout crowds during 2016-17.
-Kyle Baun finished the campaign as the team's top scorer with 34 points (14g, 20a) in 74 games, including an assist in Wednesday's matchup against the Milwaukee Admirals. Baun tallied four points in seven games in the month of April, including a three-game point streak from April 1 - 8 (1g, 2a).
-Rookie Luc Snuggerud tallied his first professional goal in Rockford's 6-2 loss to the Milwaukee Admirals on April 14 in Milwaukee. Snuggerud collected 1g-4a-5pts in the 13 games he played in from March 17-April 15.
-P.C. Labrie notched his first goal of the season in the Hogs final game of the year on Saturday, April 15. He finished the season third on the team in penalty minutes (96), averaging 1.85 penalty minutes per game.
-Defenseman Ville Pokka finished the campaign as the lone IceHogs player to make an appearance in all 76 games. He tied for second among the Hogs' top scorers (6g-24a-30pts), including an assist against the Admirals last week on April 14.
-The IceHogs announced their 2016-17 Team Awards on Saturday, April 15. This year's recipients included Brandon Mashinter - Most Valuable Player; Luke Johnson - Rookie of the Year; Eric Gustafsson - Defenseman of the Year; Martin Lundberg - Unsung Hero Award; Chris DeSousa - Heavy Hitter Award; Kyle Baun - Most Improved Player (also Top Scorer); and P.C. Labrie - Man of the Year.
