Watt Recalled from Ontario

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled right wing J.D. Watt from the ECHL's Ontario Reign, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

In two stints with the Monarchs this season, Watt recorded three points (2-13) and 27 penalty minutes in 17 games. The 6-foot-2, 196-pound native of Cremona, Alberta made his debut with the Monarchs on Wednesday, December 14 which also marked his 150th AHL game. Watt, 24, has tallied four goals and 10 assists for 14 points and logged 78 penalty minutes in 30 games for the Reign this season. During the 2009-10 season, the right wing registered four points (1-34), 74 penalty minutes and an AHL career-best plus-7 ratio in 27 games with the Abbotsford Heat. In 166 career AHL games with the Quad City Flames, San Antonio Rampage, the Heat and the Monarchs, Watt has recorded 24 points (12-1224) and 526 penalty minutes.
