Guelph Storm News Release
The Guelph Storm Hockey Club announced today that recently signed Patrick Watling, the team's 10th round pick in 2009, will start practicing with the team this week.
The Sault Ste. Marie native has made great strides this season racking up 25 goals and 75 points in 49 games with the Chatham Maroons. Fifth in conference scoring, Watling has improved dramatically from last season when he scored just seven points as a 16 year old rookie.
The 5.11, 175 lbs forward also participated in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Prospects game on January 17th at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph and was named a First Team All Star at the league banquet last month. The 17 year old was also nominated for the CHOK Player of the Year Award.
