Waterloo Bucks Release 2016 Promotional Calendar

Waterloo, IA - The Waterloo Bucks are pleased to announce their promotional schedule for the 2016 season. This schedule includes theme nights, daily specials and fireworks nights. The Bucks open the 2016 Northwoods League season in just 32 days on Tuesday, May 31st at 7:05 PM.

Fireworks Nights: The Bucks have 12 fireworks nights scheduled for the 2016 season beginning on Opening Night, Tuesday, May 31st. Bucks fans can enjoy our post-game fireworks extravaganza every Friday and Saturday at the ballpark. Saturday fireworks dates are: June 18, July 16, July 23 and August 13; and Friday fireworks dates are: June 3, July 1, July 15, July 29 and August 5. The Bucks also have three mid-week fireworks dates - in addition to Opening Night on May 31st, fireworks will be on Wednesday, June 8th and Monday, July 4th. All fireworks shows this season are provided by Flashing Thunder Fireworks and will take place at Riverfront Stadium following the Bucks game.

Daily Specials: The Bucks have a great lineup of Daily Specials in 2016 featuring new promotions and fan favorites. Sunday sees the return of Kids Eat FREE and a balloon artist. Joining Sunday's activities is Bike to the Ballpark sponsored by Covenant Clinic. Monday is the ever popular Bucks Night where 10 oz. beers, 12 oz. fountain soda, small popcorn and ice cream sandwiches are just a buck. Thursday fans can enjoy Thirsty Thursday drink specials of $2 bottled water, 24 oz. fountain soda and 12 oz. regular beers. New this year is Thursday College Night where college students can show their ID and get a special $7 ticket package that includes a Reserved Seat ticket and two hot dogs. Friday sees the return of Flat Screen Friday, sponsored by Kaplan University when three lucky fans will win a 32'' flat screen TV during the game. Saturday is the Big Bucks Cash Giveaway presented by US Bank as five lucky fans, age 18 and older, will win $100 CASH during the game.

Theme Nights: Ten theme nights are scheduled this season featuring the return of fan favorites and brand new nights. New nights this season are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Night on Friday, June 3rd, where the first 500 fans receive a special Ninja Turtle mask. Also new this year is Mommy/Son Super Hero Date Day, on Sunday, June 12th, featuring a special cupcake party for registered participants and photos with the Super Heroes; and Frozen Night on Friday, July 15th, where fans can meet and take pictures with movie princesses Elsa and Anna, plus Olaf the Snowman.

More new theme nights include: Angry Birds Movie Night on Friday, July 1st, featuring a FREE Angry Birds t-shirt for the first 500 fans; and UNI Panther Pride Night on Saturday, July 16th as the first 500 fans receive a free purple Bucks t-shirt and get to meet UNI Mascot TC.

Returning theme nights include: Star Wars Night on Saturday, June 18th; Daddy-Daughter Date Day on Sunday, June 19th; Bucks Pink Out Night on Saturday, July 23rd, featuring a pink jersey auction with the proceeds to benefit the Beyond Pink TEAM; Summertime St. Patty's Day on Thursday, July 28th; and Minions Night on Saturday, August 13th, as the first 500 fans receive a FREE Minions baseball cap.

Bucks single game tickets go on sale on Monday, May 16th. The Bucks will open their 23rd season at home on Tuesday, May 31st against the St. Cloud Rox at 7:05pm. Season tickets, 3-game ticket packages and coupon books are available now by calling the Bucks at (319) 232-0500.
