Washington Wild Things Announce 2010 Promotional Schedule, Kids Eat Free Promo

Washington, Pa. - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial, have announced their promotional schedule for the 2010 season, including giveaways, theme nights and a "Kids Eat Free" promotion.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, kids ages 12 and under will receive a coupon for a free hot dog, chips and soft drink as they enter the ballpark. The "Kids Eat Free" promotion is sponsored by ServiceLink on Tuesday nights. On Wednesdays, "Kid Eat Free" is sponsored by Chesapeake Energy.

"We think the 'Kids Eat Free' promotion will provide a great value to families in the region," said Todd Marlin, managing director of the Washington Wild Things. "We would like to thank ServiceLink and Chesapeake Energy for sponsoring these nights and allowing us to offer this to our fans."

The team is also offering giveaway nights at every Monday and Saturday home game. Scheduled giveaways include:

Thursday nights will once again be Dollar Thirst-days at CONSOL Energy Park, with beverages available for $1.00. All Friday home games will feature a fireworks show following the game. Sundays will be Family Fun Days at the ballpark. Activities planned for those games will be family-focused, and kids 12 and under will have the chance to run the bases following the game. W'ittle Wild Things sponsored by Agora Cyber Charter School members also receive free admission to Sunday games and can participate in private autograph sessions on those dates.

The Wild Things also have several theme nights planned for 2010, including Christmas in July, Bark in the Park and a Salute to Mr. Rogers, which includes a bobblehead giveaway. See the attached promotional schedule for a complete list.

The Wild Things open their ninth season on May 21 at CONSOL Energy Park when they host the Oakland County Cruisers. Individual tickets will go on sale on April 10 during the Wild Things' Open House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Season ticket packages are available at the box office or by calling 724-250-9555.
