Washington Spirit Unveils 2018 NWSL Regular Season Schedule

Boyds, MD - The Washington Spirit's 24-game National Women's Soccer League regular season schedule has been unveiled. Single game tickets for entire season will go on sale next week at Tickets.WashingtonSpirit.com http://tickets.washingtonspirit.com.

All nine NWSL clubs will face off in a single table, 24-game regular season - with 12 home games and 12 away games - in which every team will take on each opponent three times. [FULL NWSL SCHEDULE https://nwsl.app.box.com/s/eeyokryvr7evgs9xbfmbrm8thxqgfhv4]

Washington will open the regular season on the road against Seattle Reign FC on Saturday, March 24. Kickoff for the game at Memorial Stadium is set for 10 p.m. ET, with a live broadcast available on g90 in the U.S. and for international fans on the NWSL app and NWSLsoccer.com.

Washington will open their 2018 home schedule against the Orlando Pride at the Maryland SoccerPlex on Saturday, March 31. The game will be featured on national TV as the NWSL Game of the Week on Lifetime. The last two visits to Maryland by the Pride sold out in 2016 and 2017, and over 1,000 tickets have already been sold following a two-day pre-sale this week. Following the home opener, Washington will face the 2017 NWSL Shield winner North Carolina Courage on Saturday, April 14 in another Lifetime game. On Saturday, June 2, the Spirit will play host to the Chicago Red Stars in their third and final nationally televised home game of the regular season.

Over the course of the season, the Spirit will host three NWSL Game of the Week on Lifetime matches at the Maryland SoccerPlex. Jenn Hildreth and Aly Wagner return to the broadcast booth for the NWSL Game of the Week on Saturdays during the regular season - while sideline reporter Dalen Cuff will also be back as the host of the pregame show starting at 3:30 p.m. ET leading up to a 3:50 p.m. ET kickoff.

The Washington Spirit home game against Portland Thorns on Saturday, August 25 will be played at a location to be announced a later date.

The Spirit has also finalized its preseason game schedule, which will feature two games, both open to the public.

On Saturday March 10, Washington will return to Evergreen Sportsplex in Leesburg, Va. for the second straight year for a friendly against the 22-time women's college champion University of North Carolina Tar Heels. [TICKETS https://tickets.washingtonspirit.com/#/event-details/unc-2018]

On March 17, the Spirit will host the first ever NWSL match played in Richmond, Va. when they face the North Carolina Courage at the historic City Stadium.
