Moose Jaw Warriors News Release

Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced that due to a hip injury, 20-year-old goalie Brody Willms will not be able to play in the 2018 - 2019 Western Hockey League season.

"Brody is a quality young man and we're disappointed for him that this injury will cost him his 20-year-old season," commented General Manager Alan Millar. "Brody has been a pro during his time with our hockey club and we wish him all the best in dealing with this injury and his future endeavours. He will always be a Warrior."

Last season Willms appeared in 54 games and finished with a record of 37-11-2-2, a 3.00gaa, .898sv%, with four shutouts, and helped lead the Warriors to their fourth East Division title and their first Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy. Willms' 37 wins in 2017 - 2018 was a new single season franchise record.

Willms was drafted in the 8th round of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft and went on to play four seasons in Moose Jaw. He appeared in 118 games from 2013 to 2018, he posted a career record of 62-34-8-2 and he had a 3.20gaa and .900sv% along with five shutouts and ranks 3rd all-time among Warriors goalies in games played and wins.

The Moose Jaw Warriors return to Mosaic Place later this week for their 2018 Training Camp. 2018 - 2019 Season Tickets are available now at the Warriors Office, more details on season tickets and ticket packages is available at the office or by calling 306.694.5711.
