"It's an honour for me and my teammates to be able to spend more time this year with our local Special Olympians. These athletes are an inspiration, they play with heart and desire, their love of sports is second to none," said Howden. "Thank you as well to JLB Electric for working with us to bring more awareness to Moose Jaw Special Olympics and to give these athletes the recognition they deserve."

"This unique partnership reveals the true character of our great community," commented Fraser Tolmie, Chair of the Board for Moose Jaw Special Olympics. "We here at Moose Jaw Special Olympics are excited to collaborate with JLB Electric and the Moose Jaw Warriors."

"When you think of Special Olympics a few words come to mind, "Pride, Determination and Strength"," said Chris Kayter, JLB Electric. "These athletes battle every day with various items, and when they step into the sport that they love and you see there smile due to a sense of accomplishment it gives you that feeling of joy and pride that you had a part in their success. For us at JLB we have never been so proud to be a part of something that means so much."

Once a month the Warriors and JLB Electric will honour the "JLB Electric Moose Jaw Special Olympics Athlete of the Month" before a Warriors home game. This athlete will receive a personalized Warriors jersey and take part in a ceremonial faceoff.
