Walleye Tie Series after 3-1 Win in Game Four

(Reading, PA) A.J. Jenks scored twice to lead the Walleye to a 3-1 win in Game Four Wednesday night in Reading. The best of seven series is even at two with Game five coming Friday night in Toledo at the Huntington Center.

The Walleye took a 1-0 lead just 2:39 into the first period when A.J. Jenks deflected a blue line shot from defenseman Matt Caito for his second goal of the playoffs. Toledo out shot Reading 9-6 in the first period.

Jenks was the recipient of some great passing for his second goal just 39 seconds into the second period. On the power play Shane Berschbach sent a pass into the circle to Scott Czarnowczan who in turn set up Jenks at the goal mouth for a tap in.

Reading finally beat Jake Paterson when the puck went off of A.J. Jenks in front of the Toledo net and right to Brandon Alderson who beat wristed in a shot at 17:13.

A penalty filled third period ended when Shane Berschbach scored his first goal of the playoffs, an empty net goal at 19:07.

Walleye Notes: Goaltender Jake Paterson turned aside 25 of Reading's 26 shots on goal and his record is 2-0 in the playoffs.
