Omaha Lancers News Release


RALSTON, NE - The Lancers edged the Fargo Force on Friday Night at Ralston Arena by a final score of 3-2.

The Lancers took to the scoreboard first when Jan Kern (6:54) found the puck in traffic to get it past Ryan Bischel. The Lancers held on to the 1-0 lead going into the first intermission.

In the second period, Fargo took the lead with back-to-back goals. The first coming from a power-play opportunity as Connor Mayer (7:28) followed by Josh Nodler (14:32). The Lancers tied the game up on the power-play when Mathieu De St Phalle (16:17) sniped the puck off of a one time shot. De St Phalle received the puck from Cam Ginnetti and Ryan Savage atop of the slot to get the game tied.

In the third period, Logan Will (8:52) took a cross-ice pass from Bryce Brodzinski to beat Bischel in the crease. The Lancers took the win 3-2 against the Force. Omaha improves to a 2-3 record.

In his first showing as a Lancer, Jake Kucharski topped 22 of the 24 shots he faced earning his first win as a Lancer.

The Lancers return to the ice on Saturday, October 13th to face the Dubuque Fighting Saints at Ralston arena at 7:05 pm. The game can be heard on KOIL News Talk 1290 and seen on HockeyTV.
