Victoria's Keetley Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Victoria Salmon Kings rookie Matt Keetley is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 9-15.

Reassigned from Abbotsford of the American Hockey League, the 23 year old had two shutouts, a goals-against average of 1.01 and a save percentage of.965 while making three starts in four days. He stopped had 35 saves in a 2-0 win against Ontario on Nov. 11 and turned aside all 18 shots in a 4-0 win against the Reign on Nov. 14.

Keetley, who was recalled to the AHL on Monday, leads the ECHL with two shutouts and is 2-1-0 with a goals-against average of 1.01 and a save percentage of.965. He is 0-1-0 in two games for Abbotsford.

Selected in the fifth round (158th overall) by the Calgary Flames in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, he played in the ECHL in 2008-09 and was 1-3-3 with a goals-against average of 2.66 and a save percentage of.930 in seven games for Las Vegas while also playing in the AHL where he was 8-18-4 with two shutouts and a goals-against average of 2.85 in 33 games for Quad City. He played in Quad City as a rookie and was 10-8-3 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.85 and a save percentage of.912 in 26 games and also appeared in one game for Calgary.

Runners Up: Mike Morrison, Florida (2 gp, 2-0-0, 2.37 GAA,.915 save pct.) and Richard Bachman, Idaho (2-0-0, 0.96 GAA,.958 save pct.).
