Veteran Goaltender Roik Signs with Colorado

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth announced today that the team has signed free agent goaltender Matt Roik to a one-year agreement. Roik has played for five teams in his 11-year career, highlighted by an NLL title with the Washington Stealth in 2010.
"Matt brings the experience of having played for a championship team to our organization," said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. "Our intent is to improve our goaltending, and Matt will compete for a spot on our roster in [training] camp."
Roik, 32, has a .752 career save percentage in 146 regular-season games. He played in 10 games in 2012 for the Toronto Rock, and represented the East Division in the 2012 NLL All-Star Game in February.
