Best of September: Prior to the start of Friday's game, Ethan Browne was named the Jim's Clothes Closest Player of the Month for September. Browne led the Cougars in scoring in September with two goals and two assists for four points in five games; he finished the month on a four-game point streak.

Dry Spell: The Cougars offence has hit a dry spell over the last two games. Going back to last Saturday against Kelowna, the Cougars have scored just two goals in their last six periods. Their goalless drought is now at 87-minutes, dating back to the second period against the Rockets on September 29th.
