Vallerand Loaned to Norfolk

Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors announced forward Marc-Olivier Vallerand has been loaned to the Norfolk Admirals, the AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks.

Vallerand, 24, scored 12 goals and tallied 28 assists in 35 games this season with the Road Warriors. Last season the Longueuil, Québec native scored 30 goals, notched 25 assists and lead the team with 10 power play goals. He also split time with the Rockford IceHogs and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the AHL played nine games between the two teams. Vallerand is the second player from the Road Warriors to get sent up to the AHL after the announcement of the impending end to the NHL lockout was made on January 6th. Andrew Yogan, the other assigned player, was called up to the Connecticut Whale by the New York Rangers on Wednesday.

The Road Warriors finish a two game series against the Orlando Solar Bears tonight at 7 p.m. THE ROAD WARRIORS WILL BE ACCEPTING NEW CLOTHES, BLANKETS AND CANNED FOOD AT THE ENTRANCES TO DONATE TO THE VICTIMS OF HURRICANE SANDY. Fans who donate will receive a ticket voucher to the game on February 7, 2013 at 7 p.m. The first 1,000 kids 12 and under receive a white replica jersey presented by Scene on 7 and WSSL 100.5.
