Utah Flash Announce Partnership with Maakoa

PROVO, Utah, August 20, 2009 - The Utah Flash announced today that they have entered into a multi-year marketing partnership with Maakoa. Maakoa is an Orem based company, which provides world class products combined with an exciting and unique business.

"We are thrilled to be teaming up with the Utah Flash, one of the premier organizations

in the NBA Develpment League ," said Maakoa's CEO, Bruce Davis. Davis continued, "The Utah Flash and Maakoa have many things in common including the FEARLESS pursuit of excellence."

As part of this partnership the Utah Flash will now play all home games on the Maakoa Court at the McKay Events Center. The floor that the Flash have played on for two years will now boast the Maakoa name and logo.

"I'm very excited that the Utah Flash will be associated with Maakoa," said team president Joe Brown. "We are confident that our partnership with Maakoa will further their success as well as the Flash's winning tradition."

Maakoa will also be a major sponsor of the Jr. Flash program. The Jr. Flash program conducts basketball clinics and leagues for children through partnerships with various cities in Utah County.

The minor league affiliate of the Utah Jazz and Atlanta Hawks will begin their third season this November. Last year the Flash boasted a 32-18 record while making a trip to the NBA D-League Finals.
