USL Discipline Report: Week 27
September 27, 2016 - United Soccer League Championship (USL) News Release
TAMPA, Fla. - The following is the USL's discipline report for Week 27 of the 2016 season:
A player and coach have been issued suspensions, and a total of seven players were fined an undisclosed amount for their actions this past week.
Portland Timbers 2 Head Coach Andrew Gregor was dismissed and Seattle Sounders FC 2 defender Nouhou Tolo was sent off in their respective Week 27 matches. With Seattle and Portland missing the USL Cup Playoffs picture, both were fined and will serve their one-game suspension during the first match of the 2017 USL season.
Five players were issued a yellow card accumulation infraction following the final week of the regular season. For all players, including those headed to the postseason, the discipline results in a fine but no suspension. This group includes the Charleston Battery's Shawn Ferguson (fifth caution) and Zach Prince (eighth caution), the Harrisburg City Islanders' Bobby Warshaw (fifth caution), Louisville City FC's Aodhan Quinn (eighth caution) and Orange County Blues FC's Trevin Caesar (eighth caution).
