USA Baseball vs. Nicaragua Tonight at Coastal Federal Field

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - On Tuesday, August 2nd the USA National Baseball Team will begin a three game series against the Nicaraguan National Team at Coastal Federal Field (Home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans) in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Games are scheduled for Tuesday (8/2), Wednesday (8/3), and Thursday (8/4) night with a first pitch time of 7:00 pm. This will be the third consecutive season that Team USA has made a trip to Coastal Federal Field.

This years roster includes 22 of the top collegiate players in the country, including two players from the '05 NCAA National Champion Texas Longhorns.
Former Team USA baseball members include current major league stars: Mark Prior (Chicago Cubs), Mark Teixeira (Texas Rangers), Ben Sheets (Milwaukee Brewers), Nomar Garciaparra (Chicago Cubs), Todd Helton (Colorado Rockies), Joe Mauer (Minnesota Twins), BJ Upton (Tampa Bay Devil Rays), Pat Burrell (Philadelphia Phillies), Troy Glaus (Arizona Diamondbacks), and Tino Martinez (New York Yankees).
