SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm (15-2) will host the Arizona Rattlers (13-4) on Saturday, July 8 h at 5:05pm in a Clash of Champions battle. GreatLIFE and KSFY-TV are the United Bowl Championship game sponsors .

This game will be a match-up of two storied franchises. The Sioux Falls Storm has punched their ticket to the United Bowl for the eighth consecutive season. The Storm has won six of the last seven titles. The Arizona Rattlers entered the Indoor Football League (IFL) at the beginning of the 2017 season after spending 24 years in the Arena Football League (AFL); the Rattlers have won five Arena Bowl Championships in 1994, 1997, and then went back-to-back-to-back between 2012-2014.

The Arizona Rattlers started the IFL season with a road game against the six-time defending champion Sioux Falls Storm. Sioux Falls defeated the Rattlers 40-29 in the week one contest. In that game, quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed five of 11 passes for 59 yards and one touchdown. Robbie Rouse carried the ball seven times for 25 yards and one touchdown. Mike Tatum caught three passes for 29 yards and rushed eight times for 38 yards and one touchdown. Korey Williams tallied two grabs for 20 yards and carried the ball nine times for 61 yards and two total touchdowns. Rashard Smith grabbed an interception, had one forced fumble and three pass break-ups. Cory Henry had one sack while Matt Hermanson led the Storm with 10 tackles.

Since then, the Sioux Falls Storm battled through to win the United Conference Championship against the Iowa Barnstormers with a score of 66-32. In that game, quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed 12 of 17 passes for 175 yards and four touchdowns along with one rushing touchdown. Robbie Rouse carried the ball eight times for 29 yards and two touchdowns. Mike Tatum caught five passes for 98 yards and one touchdown, while Judd Harold tallied three grabs for 30 yards and two touchdowns. Korey Williams had three receptions for 40 yards and one touchdown along with one kickoff return. Jermaine Robinson and Elijah Fields each had one interception and Rashard Smith had two interceptions. Fields led the Storm with 10 tackles.

As for the Arizona Rattlers, they defeated the Nebraska Danger by a score of 62-36 to become the Intense Conference Champions. In that game, quarterback Cody Sokol went 13 of 18 for 110 yards and four touchdowns. Ketrich Harmon led the Rattlers in rushing with 60 yards on 11 carries and two total touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving. Anthony Amos had 52 yards receiving as well. On defense, Justin Shirk had four and a half tackles, two of which for loss and one and a half sacks. Allen Chapman and Dillion Winfrey each had an interception.

The Sioux Falls Storm will host a Public Service Night to honor those who serve and protect our city streets and community. The Storm will be hosting a fundraiser to raise awareness to the state of Mental Health and the effects it has on families by partnering with National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Sioux Falls.
