Uhl, Frogs Power Ahead to 7-2 Win

EVERETT, Wash. - Ryan Uhl hit a home run and double to lead the AquaSox to a 7-2 win over Salem-Keizer on Sunday, Aug. 23, at Everett Memorial Stadium. The AquaSox hit five doubles and Uhl went 2 for 3 with two runs, two RBIs and a walk.
Uhl put the Frogs on the board in the bottom of the second with his two-run home run to left field, scoring Luis Liberato. Uhl then led off the fourth with a double and scored on Conner Hale's double a batter later. Hale scored on Braden Bishop's double.
Corey Simpson kept the parade of doubles going as he led off the fifth with a two-bagger. He was brought home a batter later by Luis Liberato's double. Liberato stole third and P.J. Jones knocked him in on a sacrifice fly to make it 6-0 after five.
Braden Bishop scored the final run, leading off the sixth with a hit by pitch. He stole second, and then stole third a few pitches later before Corey Simpson hit him home on a sacrifice groundout.
Rohn Pierce earned the win with five innings of scoreless relief work. He struck out five Volcanoes, walked two and allowed four hits.
