Two Sharks Earn Week 11 Player of the Week Awards

JACKSONVILLE - The National Arena League announced Wednesday that defensive back Erick McIntosh earned Defensive Play of the Week and kicker Nick Belcher earned Special Teams Player of the Week in their week 11 performances against the Corpus Christi Rage. This is the third time this season two Sharks have won League awards in the same week. The first time was Week 3 and second time was in Week 6.

McIntosh helped the Sharks (9-0) come out victorious with their dominating win over the Corpus Christi Rage with a score of 71-6. McIntosh racked up 3 solo tackles during the game and had 1 interception of 42 yards for a touchdown. McIntosh has a total of 21.5 tackles and 3 interceptions this season.

Nick Belcher is the premier kicker in the NAL, leading the league in most kicking categories including PAT kicking percentage (88.9), PAT kicks made (64), and tied for first in field goals made (6). With another special teams award, Belcher has now five different weekly honors. He had 8 of those 64 PAT kicks in Week 11's game against Corpus Christi.

This week the Sharks take on the Dayton Wolfpack at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, Saturday June 3 at 7 PM for Pirates & Princesses night.
