Two Pats in CSS Final Rankings

Regina, Saskatchewan - Two members of the Regina Pats are in the NHL Central Scouting Service (CSS) final player rankings. Sam Steel and Adam Brooks made the top 75 among North American skaters. The CSS list is released annually ahead of the 2016 NHL Draft on June 24 & 25 in Buffalo, New York.

Sam Steel is the Pats' highest ranked player at 30th. In his sophomore season, Steel set new career highs for goals and assists. He finished the regular season with 23 goals and 47 assists for 70 points. So far in the 2016 playoffs, he has 11 points (5G, 6A) though seven games.

Adam Brooks checks in at 72nd on the list. The 19 year old moved up 35 spots from his mid-term ranking. The Winnipeg, MB product turned in a career year in 2015-16, winning the Bob Clarke trophy as the WHL's top scorer. In 72 games, Brooks amassed 120 points (38G, 82A). His scoring touch continued into the playoffs, leading the post-season with 18 points (6G, 12A) in seven games.

Regina Pats prospect, defenceman Scott Perunovich also made the CSS list. The Hibbing, Minnesota native is 161st among North American skaters.
