Tulsa's Ryan Menei Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (February 4, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa Oilers forward Ryan Menei has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending February 3, 2013.

Menei has caught fire as has his team winning three straight games last week. Menei scored seven goals in the three victories including a pair of game winning scores. The Winnipeg native finished with 11 points on the week with no fewer than three points in any one game.

The veteran started the week with a two goal, one assist effort in their win over Denver on Tuesday. He then followed that up with a two goal, two assists effort in Friday's win over Missouri and then conclude his offensive showcase with three goals and an assist in Saturday's shootout win that helped end Wichita's five-game win streak. Against the Thunder, Menei twice gave his team a one-goal lead and then earned the game winner in the shootout.

On the season, the 5-11, 195-pound forward has 22 goals and 34 assists ranking fourth in the CHL with 56 points.
