Tulsa 66ers News Release

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa 66ers fought back to defeat the Reno Bighorns, 92-88, Friday at the SpiritBank Event Center behind critical plays from Oklahoma City Thunder assignment players in the final minutes.

Thunder assignee Jeremy Lamb posted 23 points, six rebounds and three assists and Perry Jones scored 16 points with six rebounds. DeAndre Liggins added 11 points and two boards.

Trailing 85-81 with two and a half minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Lamb sunk his first 3-pointer of the night to get Tulsa within one. The rookie out of Connecticut made another 3-point bucket as the shot clock expired with 1:45 left to tie the game 87-87.

"We know that Jeremy is a great offensive player and have a lot of confidence in him," said Tulsa Head Coach Darko Rajakovic. "When those situations come, he's ready to be a clutch player and take responsibility. He knows how to win games and he proved that again tonight."

After a missed shot by Reno on the next possession, Jones pulled down the defensive rebound to set up a made free throw for Chris Quinn with 13 seconds remaining.

With a one-point lead and 5.1 seconds on the clock, Liggins swatted down Orien Greene's go-ahead attempt and grabbed the rebound. Liggins was immediately fouled and would make both of his free throws to help secure Tulsa's fifth win a row.

Tulsa (20-15) shot 34-for-67 (.507) from the field and dished out 16 assists, led by four from Quinn. The NBA veteran finished with 20 points and three rebounds as well.

Reno (13-21) was led by Dar Tucker with 20 points and five rebounds.

The 66ers season-best win streak has been built upon tough defense, with Tulsa holding its opponents to 90 points or less in all five games.

Tulsa continues its home stand Saturday night when it hosts the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 7 p.m. For ticket information, visit Tulsa66ers.com.
