DES MOINES, Iowa, February 11, 2014 - The Tulsa 66ers fell to the Iowa Energy, 124-104, in a Tuesday night road contest at Wells Fargo Arena.

Mustafa Shakur scored a career-high-tying 32 points on 10-for-17 shooting alongside 11 rebounds, seven assists and three steals. Shakur shot 12-for-12 from the foul line as Tulsa tied its season-best free throw percentage of 91.7 percent, shooting 22-for-24 as a team.

Grant Jerrett tallied 17 points, six rebounds and four steals and Mario Little posted 23 points, four rebounds and two assists. Scoop Jardine finished with 14 points, five assists and three steals off the bench.

Both teams went back-and-forth to start the game as they each scored 26 points in the opening quarter. Iowa outscored Tulsa 34-29 in the second frame to take a 60-55 lead to halftime as the first half featured 16 lead changes and was tied on 12 different occasions.

Iowa extended its lead by two in the third quarter to take an 89-82 advantage into the fourth despite 13 points in the quarter by Shakur. The Energy pulled away in the final quarter by shooting 63.2 percent from the field.

Tulsa (12-20) totaled 51 rebounds and 12 steals, marking its fourth-straight game of 11 or more steals.

Iowa (20-11) was led by Othyus Jeffers with 25 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

The 66ers take the court again at home against Sioux Falls next Tuesday after the league's annual All-Star break.
