The 6'3, 198-pound goaltender was initially selected by the Islanders in the third round (70th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.

Kubiak, 24, played seven games with the Sound Tigers this season and scored his first AHL goal on Saturday against the Providence Bruins. He also collected 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists) in 59 games with the Railers this season and notched five points (four goals, one assist) in his last five games prior to his call-up on Mar. 22.

A native of Tinley Park, Ill., Kubiak also spent two seasons in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the Chicago Steel and Muskegon Lumberjacks from 2011-13. He registered 44 points (20 goals, 24 assists) in 109 games. In addition, Kubiak played in the 2012 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, where he scored the game-winning goal for Team East.

MacKinnon, 23, signed an AHL deal with Bridgeport on Mar. 20, which runs through 2018-19, and played three games with Sound Tigers this season, registering an assist in his AHL debut on Apr. 3 against Providence. Prior to joining Bridgeport, MacKinnon played nine games with the Railers following a three-year career at the University of Prince Edward Island. He recorded nine points (two goals, seven assists) and a plus-five rating with Worcester, including his first professional goal on Mar. 2 against the Wheeling Nailers. MacKinnon made his pro debut on Feb. 27 against the Brampton Beast.

A native of Summerside, P.E.I., MacKinnon collected 48 points (12 goals, 36 assists) and 52 penalty minutes in 82 collegiate games from 2015-18. He was also named to the CIS (AUS) All-Rookie Team in 2015-16 and the First All-Star Team this season.

Prior to playing for the University of Prince Edward Island, MacKinnon spent four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and notched 107 points (20 goals, 87 assists) in 252 games between the Rimouski Oceanic and Charlottetown Islanders.
