Tri-City Completes Back-To-Back against Omaha

Kearney, Neb. - The Tri-City Storm (12-16-4-2, 30 pts., 8th Western) starts a three-game road trip and completes a back-to-back against the Omaha Lancers (13-16-4-1, 31 pts., 7th Western) Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.
The Storm and Lancers are playing the second game of their "monthly tour"; Tri-City and Omaha face each other four more times over the next 25 days, concluding with a game at Ralston Arena February 18.
In the first match of the back-to-back, Wyatt Bongiovanni tallied for the Storm in a 3-1 loss. Odeen Tufto assisted on the goal for his first Tri-City point.
Following Tuesday's game, the Storm will embark on its longest road trip of the season at Team USA for a game against on Friday, January 27 against the U18s and a Saturday, January 28 showdown against the U17s. Puck drop is 6 p.m. central on both nights.
Tuesday, January 31, the Storm hosts the Lancers at the Viaero Center with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop. It's a $2 Tuesday, with $2 Coors Lights, $2 soft drinks and $2 kids tickets.

Dayton's continued strong play Storm goalie Dayton Rasmussen leads the USHL with a 1.75 goals against average in eight appearances since coming back from the World Jr. A Challenge on December 28. The native of Eden Prairie, Minnesota has compiled a 3-4-1-0 record and .936 save percentage since the holidays.
Rasmussen allowed two goals in both his starts Friday and Saturday. In three of the eight appearances, Rasmussen has given up one goal. The 6-foot-2, 203-lb. netminder has not given up more than three goals in a game since the holiday break ended.
In the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, Rasmussen played half the game and did not allow a goal on 14 shots.
Overall, Rasmussen is 10-10-2-1 with a 2.42 goals against average and .914 save percentage.
Rated the #6 North American Goalie by NHL Central Scouting on its Midterm Rankings, Rasmussen is committed to Denver.
PIMs or no PIMs The Storm averages the fewest penalty minutes/game in the league (11.85) and the Lancers take the most PIMs/game (20.71).
Tri-City matched its season average by taking 12 penalty minutes against Omaha Saturday. Tri-City has compiled the fewest ten-minute misconducts (8) and second-fewest minors (144) in the league. Logan Drevitch has 57 penalty minutes this season, most of any Storm player, but has only been assessed six PIMs in 15 games with Tri-City.
Omaha took 25 penalty minutes Saturday, upping its season average to a league-high 20.71 PIMs/game. No other USHL team averages more than 20 penalty minutes per game. The Lancers have taken 25 ten-minute misconducts, tied for most in the league. Omaha had 77 penalty minutes December 17 against Lincoln (the most by a team in a game this season). The rivals combined for 144 penalty minutes, the most amassed in a USHL game this season.
Lancers Captain Filip Rydstrom is second in the league with 106 PIMs. Teammate Pierce Crawford is fourth in the circuit with 96 PIMs.
Season series recap The Storm has taken one of the first four games of the season series, defeating the Lancers, 4-1, on November 4.
Linus Weissbach and Charlie Kelleher lead Tri-City with three points (1g, 2a) against Omaha. Adam Goodsir has two goals. Alex Limoges (1g, 1a), Wyatt Bongiovanni (1g, 1a), Odeen Tufto (1g, 1a), Bryan Yoon (1g, 1a) and Joseph Campolieto (2a) have multiple points in the series. Omaha Captain Filip Rydstrom has three goals against the Storm and Austin Alger leads all players with four points, all assists.
Dayton Rasmussen has allowed three goals in seven periods to the Lancers, making 41 saves. Three Omaha goalies - Jacob Acton, Peter Thome and Tommy Nappier - have squared off against the Storm. Nappier is 2-0-0-0 against Tri-City, stopping 59 of a possible 61 shots. Omaha acquired the 6-foot-2, 215-lb. goalie from Chicago in November.
On Deck After going to face Team USA for a pair of games January 27-28 at 6 p.m. central, the Storm hosts Omaha on Tuesday, January 31 for a $2 Tuesday - Coors Lights, soft drinks and kids tickets are all $2.
