Bakersfield Condors News Release
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Matt O'Dette announced today that C Nicholas Tremblay has been loaned to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL).
"Nick has been a great addition to our lineup and has worked hard since he got here," O'Dette said. "He deserves this opportunity at the next level and we wish him success."
Tremblay is currently fifth on the team in scoring with 25 points (13g-12a) despite playing in just 21 games. Joining the team on January 11, 2013, he immediately made an impact for Bakersfield tallying four goals and four assists in his first three games en route to winning ECHL Player of the Week honors.
A rookie from Candiac, Quebec, Tremblay notched five multi-point games including a Condors season-high four points (2g-2a) on Jan. 12 versus Idaho.
The 24-year old was drafted by Providence's National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate, Boston, in the 6th round (#173) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He was unsigned after finishing his collegiate career at Clarkson University, but did play four games for Providence at the end of last season, tallying a goal and an assist for two points in four games.
