(EVANSVILLE, Indiana) - The Traverse City Beach Bums defeated the Evansville Otters 4-1 in a rain-shortened seven inning game at Bosse Field on Thursday evening.

The win completes a sweep for the Beach Bums who started with an early 1-0 lead on a solo home run from Chase Burch.

The score would stay the same into the top of the third inning when Evansville right-hander David Francis left the game with a hamstring injury.

Right-hander Kyle Barry took over allowing two unearned runs in the fourth and another unearned run in the sixth.

Trailing 4-0, Evansville scored a run in the bottom of the inning when former Otter outfielder Greg Burns dropped a fly ball in center field. Infielder Joe Spiers scored on the play, ending a 20 inning scoreless streak for Evansville.
