Toronto FC Acquires Midfielder Bostock on Loan

Toronto FC Friday acquired midfielder John Bostock on loan from English Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur F.C (Tottenham). Bostock will be officially added to the Toronto FC roster and eligible for selection upon receipt of his International Transfer Clearance (ITC).
Bostock, 21, most recently spent time on loan in with Swindon Town F.C. of England's League One. He began his youth career at Crystal Palace F.C. and signed with the First Team for the 2007-08 season. Tottenham purchased Bostock ahead of the 2008-09 campaign, and he became the youngest player in Tottenham history to play for the Spurs, at the age of 16 years, 295 days in a UEFA Cup match against Dynamo Zagreb.
Since joining Tottenham, Bostock has gone on four different loan spells in England with: Brentford F.C. (2009-10), Hull City A.F.C. (2010-11), Sheffield Wednesday (2011-12), and Swindon Town (2012-13). He was part of the Swindon Town's League Two Championship winning side in 2012. He was returned to Tottenham in January.
" I know John from our time at Tottenham and we are very excited to have him in Toronto," said Toronto FC Head Coach Ryan Nelsen. " He is a creative player and he will fit in well with the club."
Bostock, has represented England at the U-16, U-17, and U-19 levels. He served as captain for England's U-17 side.
