Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Albuquerque Isotopes players and coaches will take part in a special Challenger Little League Clinic, taking place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM tomorrow, Saturday, May 21 at the McKinley Middle School field located at 4500 Comanche Road NE in Albuquerque.

Catcher J.D. Closser, infielder Dee Gordon pitchers Dana Eveland, Francisco Felix, Tim Sexton, and Adam Dedeaux as well as Isotopes pitching coach Glenn Dishman will talk to Challenger Little Leaguers about baseball, work with them on fundamentals of the game such as throwing, catching, and batting, and will even play in a game with the kids. After the game, the Isotopes will sign autographs.

Challenger Little League is a program that enables mentally and physically disabled youth to enjoy the full benefits of Little League baseball participation in an athletic environment structured to their abilities. This will be the ninth year the ‘Topes have participated in the Challenger Little League Clinic.

The ‘Topes continue their big homestand tonight with a replica jersey giveaway to the first 2,500 fans courtesy of Bank of the West. Fans are encouraged to arrive early because sizes are limited. After that, the homestand includes post-game fireworks tomorrow, a pennant giveaway, and 50-Cent Hot Dog night on Monday.

Tickets for any Isotopes game may be purchased at the Isotopes Park Box Office, at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or on-line at www.albuquerquebaseball.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
