SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have recalled defenceman Brendan Sibley, forward Luke Wilson and goaltender Stewart Bagnell from the (Dartmouth) Steele Subaru Major Midgets of the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League (NSMMHL).

The trio played key roles as Steele Subaru won the 2017 Monctonian AAA Challenge championship earlier this month.

Sibley, 16, has two goals and ten points in twenty games in his second season with Steele Subaru. Listed at 5'11" and 170 lbs., he was the first player selected by the Sea Dogs in the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft, in the third round, 52nd overall. The Dartmouth-native had one assist in five preseason games with Saint John.

Wilson, 16, has officially committed to the Sea Dogs after considering his hockey and education options. In his second year with Steele Subaru, the native of Bedford, Nova Scotia, is tied for the team lead with 12 goals, and sits third with 21 points. Listed at 5'11" and 160 lbs., he was selected by Saint John in the ninth round (163rd overall) in the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft.

Bagnell, 16, has played 14 games in his second campaign with Steele Subaru, posting a 9-4 record with a 2.17 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage. The Halifax product, listed at 6'1" and 166 lbs., made his QMJHL debut with the Sea Dogs on November 3rd, turning aside 30 shots in a loss to the Sagueneens in Chicoutimi. Saint John selected him in the eighth round (145th overall) of the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft. He also appeared in two preseason games with the Sea Dogs.

The Sea Dogs also announced goaltender Joel Goguen and defenceman Thomas Ashe have been reassigned to the Amherst Ramblers of the Maritime Hockey League (MHL).
