TONIGHT: City of Rochester and Rhinos Host Event at Capelli Stadium to Support the JOSANA Neighborho

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - For the second consecutive season, the Rochester Rhinos will be opening the Capelli Sport Stadium gates to host the City of Rochester JOSANA Neighborhood Outreach event on Monday, May 15th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The event is free to all neighborhood residents, plus attendees receive a complimentary Rhinos ticket to a future home game courtesy of the Rhinos Cares Program. Rhinos corporate partners Canandaigua National Bank, Fidelis Care, STOP DWI, and Foodlink will be in attendance providing additional support.

The evening will be an opportunity for JOSANA residents to learn more about resources available to them to help build a stronger sense of community. The Charles Settlement House is bringing over 15 local companies and organizations to the event who provide support services.

During the event, Rochester Rhinos players and coaches will be interacting with youths from the neighborhood on Capelli Sport Stadium's field with various sports and game activities provided by the City of Rochester's Rec on the Move vehicle. Players in attendance will be:

"It is important for Capelli Sport Stadium and the Rochester Rhinos to support our local community," said David Dworkin, co-owner of the Rochester Rhinos. "We would like the surrounding neighborhood to know that they are invited to participate in our stadium events and that our gates are always open to them."

JOSANA has become the generally accepted name for the neighborhood from 490 North to Lyell Avenue between Broad and Child Street, surrounding Capelli Sport Stadium.
