Wheeling Nailers News Release

Tobias Holm scored 3 goals in the 1st period and also had 2 assists on the night in leading the Wheeling Nailers attack in a 6-2 victory at the Cincinnati Cyclones Friday night at US Bank Arena. 6 goals was the most for the Nailers since October 31 and 4 in the 1st equals the most in a period all season.

Sirianni finished with 2 goals and 2 assists.

Then it was the Tobias Holm show as he scored three straight goals including two goals from the right side of the crease on fine centering feeds by Aaron Clarke from the left wall.

Wheeling knocked former Nailer goalie Martin Houle out of the game with the 4 goal barrage in the first but quickly got to replacement Kyle Gajewski when Sirianni registered his 2nd of the night at 4:44 into the middle period.

David Brown came back to Wheeling after a 3 week stay in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and picked up the win with a 27 save performance as he improves to 4-0-2 with Wheeling this year.

The Nailers picked up a pair of power play goals in the 1st period and went 2 for 4 on the night.

Wheeling improves to 13-3-5 on the season and stays in 2nd place in the ECHL North. Wheeling is 4-0-1 against Cincinnati this year.
