Titans Sneak By Rays 2-1
December 11, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Trenton Titans score two third period goals including a short handed tally by Rosario Ruggeri on their way to a 2-1 victory over the South Carolina Stingrays in front of 5,066 at the North Charleston Coliseum.
Ruggeri's goal broke a scoreless tie at 7:06 of the third. After Matthew Brunelle played the puck to the front of the Stingrays net, Ruggeri pounced on a rebound and netted his second goal of the season against the Rays. Aaron Wilson's tip in goal at 12:22 of the period proved to be the game winner after Brian McConnell found the Titans forward alone in front of Rays net.
The loss was the first in six games for the Stingrays, who fell to 8-10-6, while the Titans improved to 11-9-2 on the season.
The Rays will stay at home for their next two games including a 3:00 start against the Greenville Grrrowl this afternoon. Today's game is Kid's Day with $5.00 children's tickets, a visit from Jumping Jack and the Stanley Cup!
