February 9, 2013 - The first meeting of the year was an evenly matched goalie duel that would take overtime to decide. Scott Wedgewood was brilliant stopping 25, but Wings' keeper Joel Martin was near perfect in stopping 45 shots in a 2-1 Wings win in Trenton.

The teams will not meet each other again during the 2012-13 regular season.

Despite giving up a PPG to the 16th ranked PP unit in Kalamazoo (and last on the road at 9.3% ), Trenton continues to lead the league on the PK at an 86.4% clip (178-206 Opps). It is still 5th on the road (84%, 79-94) and has actually improved to 3rd at home (88.3%, 99-112). Kalamazoo will be much tougher to stop on its PP at home - it is seventh in the league with a 22.7 mark at Wings Stadium (27 goals - 119 PP chances).
