Titans Continue Leading Efforts to Assist Victims of Hurricane Sandy

November 5, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Trenton Titans News Release

Trenton, NJ - The Trenton Titans, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, are grateful to the members of Titans Nation who provided relief supplies for those in need following the devastation left behind in Hurricane Sandy's wake.

Many took advantage of the free ticket offer for each case of water donated during Trenton's contest last Friday night against Atlantic Division rival Reading. Hundreds of cases of water, plus bags containing clothing, toiletries and non-perishable food items, were brought to the Sun National Bank Center last Friday. Those donations were taken the next day by Titans' staff members, to help residents along the Jersey shoreline try to get back to a sense of normalcy and begin piecing their lives back together.

While the relief effort was helpful, it wasn't enough. We need to do more...and Titans Nation is ready to stand up and do more.

To continue the help our neighbors in need, the Titans are asking for the following items to be donated, by bringing them to the SNBC again this Friday: Cleaning supplies (mops, brooms, etc), Medicine (Advil, Tylenol, Benadryl, etc), Pull ups/large diapers, Gloves/masks, Vitamins, Chapstick, Lotion, Dog/Cat food, Bottles/storage containers, Sippy cups, Gerber Graduate foods, Tissues and Bags (grocery, reusable, Ziplock). There is a dire need for these items.

The Titans will accept other items for donation (canned goods, gift cards, clothing - baby through adult, jackets, socks, underwear, band-aids, etc). Cash donations will be accepted as well.

Donations can be brought to either Gate A or Gate C prior to Friday's game. The Titans' friends at Justin's Rentals, 945 Cedar Lane in Trenton, are providing transportation to take these items to the relief workers and to those affected by the hurricane along the coast.

Once is not enough...and the men and women of Titans Nation - the best fans in the ECHL - are ready to continue the fight to help those in need. While many have been impacted, our friends to the east have been devastated. The Nation has answered - and will continue to answer - the call. The Trenton Titans thank their fans and friends in Trenton and the surrounding areas for the help they have given and the support they continue to offer.
