May 15, 2017 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The TinCaps will be wearing special Boba Fett-designed jerseys for their annual Star Wars Night presented by Shindigz at Parkview Field on Friday, May 19 (7:05 pm) when they take on the Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers).

Fans can already bid on these jerseys at TinCapsJersey.com.

Bidding for each jersey starts at $100, with bids increasing by $5 increments. The auction will end on Friday night at the end of the sixth inning. (Since fans can bid online from anywhere, you don't need to be present to win, but fans who are can receive their jersey on the field right off the player's back.)

All proceeds from the TinCaps Star Wars Jersey Auction will benefit Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana. Since the chapter's inception in 1983, the non-profit has granted more than 15,000 wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The TinCaps' current roster includes six players ranked by MLB.com as Top 30 San Diego Padres prospects: No. 6 Fernando Tatis (SS), No. 7 Jorge Oña (OF), No. 12 Hudson Potts (3B/SS), No. 17 Logan Allen (LHP), No. 29 Buddy Reed (OF), and No. 30 Eguy Rosario (2B/3B).

Friday night's game also features Postgame Fireworks presented by Hoch Insurance Agency and is a Boy Scout Overnight. Tickets to Star Wars Night and all 2017 home games are available at TinCapsTickets.com, by calling 260-482-6400, and at the Parkview Field Ticket Office.

Other upcoming theme night jersey auctions for the TinCaps include jerseys for Turn the Park Pink on June 17 (Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer), as well as Military Appreciation Night on June 27 and the Fourth of July (Honor Flight Northeast Indiana).
