FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne TinCaps are currently searching for a Graphic Design Intern for the 2018 season.

What does this position entail?

The Graphic Design Intern will assist with all TinCaps and Parkview Field graphic design needs, inclusive of, but not limited to print, web, social, broadcast, in-ballpark, and video board elements.

What kind of person is ideal for this position?

The team is looking for someone with the creative and technical skills to tell a compelling story through design. The best applicants will be those who want to work for a fun, creative, challenging, nationally-recognized, and rewarding organization. Design creativity, skill, and knowledge are valued over sports/baseball knowledge.

What are the requirements?

Experience in graphic design and skill in Photoshop.

What else will make applicants competitive?

Ability in Illustrator and InDesign is preferred.

When does the position begin?

February 1, 2018. (Flexibility on start date, based on candidate availability.)

When does the position end?

September 30, 2018. (Flexibility on end date, based on candidate availability.)

What are the hours for this position?

This position is required to work normal TinCaps staff hours: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays, evenings for home games, and weekend hours when the team is playing at home. The TinCaps play 70 home games from April 7 through August 31. Click here for the team's 2018 schedule.

Yes, monthly stipend.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps are the Class A, Midwest League affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Since 2009, the team has played at Parkview Field, which has been rated the top ballpark in Minor League Baseball by Stadium Journey . While the ballpark in Downtown Fort Wayne has averaged more than 400,000 fans per season, it's home to far more than baseball. The TinCaps and Parkview Field host more than 700 non-baseball events every year. In 2016, the TinCaps earned Minor League Baseball's top honor, the John H. Johnson President's Award for organizational excellence.
