NORWICH- With fireworks at every Friday home game and giveaways every Saturday home game, the promotional schedule is set for the Connecticut Tigers 2013 season. The Tigers' 2013 season begins on Monday, June 17 against the Lowell Spinners (Red Sox affiliate), with fireworks after the game. The promotional schedule features the new "Hometown Heroes" bobblehead series which will debut on Sunday, June 23 with Norwich native and Arizona Cardinals Defensive End Matt Shaughnessy in his Norwich Free Academy football uniform, presented by Savings Institute Bank & Trust.
The Tigers will also give away a bobblehead of Groton, CT native and current New York Mets RHP Matt Harvey in his Fitch High School uniform, presented by YP Local Search, Media, and Advertising on Saturday, July 13 as the Tigers take on the Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets affiliate) and current San Francisco Giant RHP Matt Cain in his Norwich Navigators uniform presented by the CT Department of Transportation on Saturday, July 27 with the Lowell Spinners (Red Sox affiliate) at Dodd Stadium.
Additional giveaways include a CT Tigers mouse pad presented by YP Local Search, Media, and Advertising on Saturday, July 6; a CT Tigers hat giveaway courtesy of Backus Hospital on Saturday, August 3; and a CT Tigers 16 oz. souvenir glass giveaway on Saturday, August 17.
The Tigers will once again host a "Sunday Funday" after every 4:05 p.m. Sunday home game with "Kids Run the Bases" presented by Ben and Jerry's and "Have a Catch" presented by ROXY FM 100.9 and Falvey's post-game on the field.
Other great daily promotions include "Kids Eat Free" every Monday presented by US Foods and The Day, "Dollar Dogs" presented by Kayem every Tuesday, the "Wednesday Family Four Pack" (four reserved seats, four hot dogs, four sodas and a bag of popcorn all for $40.00), and the return of the "Thirsty Thursday Happy Hour" (gates open 5 p.m.) with live music pre-game and drink specials all night.
Friday, July 26 will be the annual "Military Appreciation Night" at Dodd Stadium and the 2013 regular season will conclude on Friday, August 30 as the Tigers take on the Lowell Spinners (Red Sox affiliate) with the annual "Norwich Navigators Night".
