Tickets On Sale for NBDL Championship Tournament

Asheville, N.C., April 13, 2005 - The defending NBDL Champion Asheville Altitude will host the Huntsville Flight in the semi-finals of the 2005 NBDL Championship Tournament presented by Delta Airlines, Saturday, April 16 at the Asheville Civic Center.

To celebrate the occasion, Altitude season ticket holders and fans are invited to rally with the team at Asheville's Fun Depot on Wednesday. Beginning at 5 p.m., fans that say "Asheville Deal" at the time of purchase can benefit from a $15 (normally priced $24.99) two-hour unlimited play package on non-redemption arcade, batting cages, climbing wall, mini-golf, as well as four (4) uses of laser tag or go-carts.

Plus, fans can challenge their favorite Altitude player at various games and register to win four (4) floor seat tickets for Saturday's contest.

Also, catch your favorite Altitude players during pre-game ceremonies at the Asheville Tourist baseball game on Friday. Be on hand as head coach Joey Meyer, along with assistant coach and 10-year NBA veteran Kermit Washington and the Altitude players mingle with fans. Adding to the evening, former UNC-Chapel Hill all-star Joe Forte will throw out the ceremonial first-pitch as the Tourist host the Kannapolis Intimidators.

Highlighting both events, KISS Country radio will broadcast via live remote Wednesday at Asheville's Fun Depot from 6-7 p.m. and again on Saturday in front of the Asheville Civic Center at 6 p.m.

The week wraps up as the Altitude takes on the Flight in a repeat of last year's championship match-up at 7 p.m. The 2005 Regular Season Champion Columbus Riverdragons will host the Roanoke Dazzle on Saturday at the Columbus Civic Center in the other semi-final game.

The winner of those games will advance to the championship game of the tournament at the arena of the highest remaining seed on Saturday, April 23.

Tickets for the semi-final game are conveniently available at various outlets including the Asheville Civic Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, call Ticketmaster at 1-800-4-NBA-TIX, or log on to Ticketmaster.com. Prices start at $9.50 for upper bowl and $16 for lower bowl seating. Discounts are available for groups of 15 or more and children.
