Woodbridge, VA - The series finale between the Potomac Nationals (12-8) and Myrtle Beach Pelicans (11-9) has been postponed due to wet grounds and rain. The game will me made up as part of a doubleheader when the Pelicans return to Woodbridge on June 16th. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 5:00pm that Thursday, as the two teams are scheduled to play two seven-inning games.
Friday night, the P-Nats welcome in the Wilmington Blue Rocks, as first pitch is set for 7:05pm. The Potomac starter has yet to be determined, while Wilmington is scheduled to start RHP Zach Lovvorn (0-4, 4.50). Lovvorn is set to make his third start of the season vs. Potomac, as the righty is 0-2 with a 4.32 ERA in his two starts vs. the P-Nats.
Friday night, kids can run the bases, and then Saturday night, fans will be treated to a fireworks show following the 6:35pm game. Sunday wraps up the homestand with a 1:05pm start, as it is "Bark in the Park" day, Sunday Family Fun Day, and features a beer tasting with Flying Dog Brewery.
The Potomac Nationals of the Carolina League play at Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge, Virginia, and are the Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Washington Nationals. The Potomac Nationals have claimed five Carolina League Championship titles (1982, 1989, 2008, 2010, and 2014) and nine CL Northern Division Championships.
