Evansville Thunderbolts News Release

EVANSVILLE, IN - The Evansville Thunderbolts have signed a pair of defensemen for the 2016-2017 season. Andrew Darrigo and Brad Denney - the latter of which was last year's FHL Defenseman of the Year - are primed to hit the ice for the Thunderbolts' inaugural season.

"Darrigo is a big, solid, tough defenseman that moves well with a good first pass," said Head Coach and General Manager Jeff Pyle. "Denney is a small, smart defenseman that skates well, has good vision and is smart with a good shot."

Darrigo is coming off a season with the Fayetteville Fireantz, where he played 21 games and earned one goal and two assists. Denney's 2015-16 season saw him with the FHL's Danville Dashers, where he played 50 games, racking up six goals and 21 assists.
