EVANSVILLE, IN - In a rare Tuesday night tilt, Evansville got on the board first against Peoria. Despite a solid attempt, the Thunderbolts could not hold off the Rivermen, falling 2-1. David Williams scored his 13th goal of the season during a two-on-one rush. The goal was assisted by Mark Petaccio and Steven Gallo. Petaccio has one goal and two assists in his two games with the Thunderbolts. Evansville led Peoria 1-0 at 5:02 of the second period.

Evansville had an opportunity to extend their lead when Rivermen defenseman Dave Pszenyczny took a slashing penalty. The Thunderbolts could not convert on the powerplay and Pszenyczny raced out of the box and forced a turnover in the Evansville zone. His pass to Connor Gorman tied the game at one each.

Early in the third period Peoria scored to take their first lead of the game. Michael Colantone circled the net right wing to left wing side and centered the puck on to the stick of Justin Hoomaian. Hoomaian fired the six-foot one-timer past netminder Tanner Milliron.

Evansville was outshot 25 - 19. Tanner Milliron made 23 saves. Evansville was 0-3 on the powerplay. Peoria was 0-1 with the man advantage. Evansville and Peoria play the next three games against each other. Friday and Sunday's games are in Peoria. Saturday night's affair is at Evansville's Ford Center.
