LAST WEEK'S GAMES -

Tuesday, February 19 th

Allen at Wichita, 5-1 W

-Behind a three-point night from Chad Painchaud, Wichita raced past Allen 5-1 scoring four unanswered goals in the final 40 minutes. Matt Summers finished with three assists and Neil Trimm had a goal an assist.

Friday, February 22 nd

Wichita at Allen, 2-1 L

-Neil Trimm tallied the only Thunder goal of the night that evened the game at one. However, Jarret Lukin scored 38 seconds later to eventually lift the Americans past Wichita, 2-1. Steve Silverthorn kept the Thunder at bay down the stretch as he was able to make some big saves on several quality scoring chances.

Saturday, February 23rd

Wichita at Missouri, 5-4 SO

-Wichita jumped out to a 2-0 lead behind goals from RG Flath and Neil Trimm who recorded his second shorthanded goal of the season. Missouri scored the next four before the Thunder tied the game with two in the final 2:30 of the second period and a goal from Painchaud with 2.7 seconds remaining. The Mavericks eventually won in a shootout, getting goals from Dickson, Thinel and Vossen to pull out a 5-4 win.

20TH CENTURY- Tuesday night's victory over Allen was the Thunder's 20th home win of the year and the 10th time in franchise history that Wichita had reached that feat. The franchise record for home wins is 26. Wichita could tie that mark by winning the rest of its home games with six remaining.

30's- Wichita also collected its 30th win of the season on Tuesday. Behind Head Coach Kevin McClelland, Wichita has reached 30 victories in three-straight years. McClelland has recorded 30 victories in seven of his eight seasons as a head coach. All-time, Wichita has hit 30 wins 12 times in its 21 seasons in the CHL.

MAC MOVES PAST UNGER- Head Coach Kevin McClelland passed Gary Unger and moved into seventh place all-time with 294 career wins last week. McClelland will be the seventh coach in the CHL to surpass 300 wins as he is just five shy of that mark. McClelland recently coached in his 500th career game this past Friday in Denver.

BRINGIN' THE PAIN- Chad Painchaud missed nearly a month towards the beginning of the season, but has racked up the points as of late. Painchaud's six-game point streak came to an end on Friday, recording 13 points (5g, 8a) over that span. His season-long scoring streak is seven games, which occurred at the beginning of the season. In two of the three games this week, he finished with three points (2g, 1a Tuesday, 1g, 2a Saturday) and recorded his 200th assist on Saturday night.

LAST FIVE- Painchaud leads the team with 11 points (5g, 6a) over the last five. Right behind him is Neil Trimm with nine points (5g, 4a). Flath (4g, 3a) and Martens (0g, 7a) each have seven points.

MILESTONES- Summers sits at 190 assists and 291 points for his career. Neil Trimm is 9 goals shy from reaching 100 for his career. Les Reaney is six goals shy of that same mark with 94 career goals. Kevin Young is three games from playing in his 300th professional game. Nathan Lutz is approaching 700 career games as he is 14 games shy. Matt Robinson is five points from reaching 300. Dustin Donaghy needs 10 penalty minutes to reach 200 for his career.

THUNDERBOLTS... Kevin Regan is tied with Torrie Jung for second in shutouts (2)...Regan is fourth in goals against average (2.41) while Jung is tied for fifth (2.50)...Neil Trimm is tied in fifth in goals (26)...Ian Lowe is tied for third in power play goals (10) while Flath and Young are tied for eighth (7)...Wichita is second in goals scored (185)...Wichita is first in second period goals (76) and first in second period shots (641)...Wichita is second in goals for per game (3.49) and first in goals against per game (2.62)...Wichita is first in shots for per game (33.55) and first in shots against per game (26.30)...Wichita is 18-2-2 when leading after one...Wichita is 22-1-2 when leading after two periods...When trailing after one, Wichita is 8-10-0...When trailing after two, Wichita is 3-14-3...In 1-goal games, Wichita is 9-4-7...In 4-goal games, Wichita is 7-3-0...When scoring on the power play, Wichita is 18-7-4...
