THUNDER CLAIM THREE - Wichita hosted Tulsa on Friday night and finished with the Allen Americans on Saturday. The Oilers got on the board first in the second period before Jarred Mohr tied the game three minutes into the third. For the second consecutive contest, Wichita and Tulsa needed a shootout to decide the game. The Oilers would score three times while Neil Trimm tallied the only Thunder goal in the shootout, giving Tulsa a 2-1 win. The Allen Americans then came to town on Saturday night. Wichita erased a 2-0 Allen lead with four-straight goals. Ian Lowe scored back-to-back goals in 29 seconds as the Thunder won 5-3 in the American's first trip to INTRUST Bank Arena this season.

ANSWERING THE CALL- Twice in the last two weeks Wichita has trailed 2-0 only to come storming back to win. Against Rapid City on January 29th, Wichita trailed after the first period only to score five unanswered. Last Saturday, Wichita scored four unanswered to come-from-behind to win 5-3 against Allen.

OUT OF THE BULLPEN- Kevin Regan got the start on Saturday night for the first time since January 18th, but was unable to finish the game. Torrie Jung, who had started the previous seven, was forced into action at the end of the first. Jung has moved into a third-place tie with his 14th win of the season against Allen and has gone 6-0-2 in that stretch, allowing just 16 goals with a goals against average of 2.04 and a save percentage of .919.

POINT STREAK- With the win on Saturday night, Wichita has collected at least a point in its last eight games. The Thunder has scored at least five goals in five of the six wins. Wichita is second in the league for goals scored per game (3.52) and first in goals allowed per game (2.59).

MAN UP- Wichita has scored at least a goal with the man advantage in six of the last eight games and has gone 15-for-39, good for 38.5%. Overall, the Thunder power play is 47-for-223, good for 21.1%. The Thunder penalty kill is first overall, killing off 172-of-199 chances for the opposition and operating at 86.4%.

300/500- Head Coach Kevin McClelland sits at 292 career wins and needs 8 more to reach 300 for his career. He will pass Gary Unger for seventh place with 293 victories. He would become the seventh coach to reach 300 CHL wins. He is also two games away from coaching in his 500th game, all of which have been in the CHL.

STREAKS- Matt Robinson (6g, 7a) extended his point streak to seven games with a goal and an assist. Robinson also recorded his third game-winning-goal of the year. Robinson has 14 points (7g, 7a) in 11 games.

MILESTONES- Chad Painchaud is nine assists shy of 200 for career. Inman reached 100 assists on January 27th. Summers sits at 185 assists and 286 points for his career. Neil Trimm is 13 goals shy from reaching 100 for his career. Les Reaney is six goals shy of that same mark with 94 career goals. Kevin Young is nine games from playing in his 300th professional game. Nathan Lutz is approaching 700 career games as he is 20 games shy. Andrew Martens needs one assist to reach 200 for his career. Matt Robinson is seven points from reaching 300. Dustin Donaghy needs 10 penalty minutes to reach 200 for his career.

THUNDERBOLTS...Kevin Regan is second in minutes played (1570:21), tied with Jung for second in shutouts (2) and is third in goals against average (2.41)...Jung is fifth in goals against (2.43)...Greger Hanson and Neil Trimm are tied in sixth in goals (21)...Ian Lowe is tied for third in power play goals (9) while Young is tied for ninth (6)...Wichita is second in goals scored (162)...Wichita is first in second period goals (68) and first in second period shots (565)...Wichita is first in shots against per game (26.11)...Wichita is 17-2-1 when leading after one...Wichita is 21-1-1 when leading after two periods...When trailing after one, Wichita is 8-9-0...When trailing after two, Wichita is 3-12-3...In 1-goal games, Wichita is 9-3-5...In 4-goal games, Wichita is 6-2-0...When scoring on the power play, Wichita is 16-6-3...When outshooting the opponent, Wichita is 20-11-4...
