THUNDER SPLIT A MILE HIGH - Wichita headed west to take on the Denver Cutthroats for the first-time ever. On Friday night, Wichita rode their power play to a 5-3 victory. The Thunder offense was held in check on Saturday night, losing 2-0 to Denver.

SNAPPED- Wichita had several streaks stopped this past weekend. The loss to Denver on Saturday stopped the Thunder's win streak at five and the Thunder's road win streak at four games.

ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO- RG Flath is six goals shy of reaching 100 for his career and five points from hitting the 200-point barrier. Last week, he was named as the Oakley CHL Player of the Week for his efforts in the Thunder's four-game win streak over the Thanksgiving holiday.

MILESTONES- Nathan Lutz and Matt Summers moved closer to reaching milestones last week. Lutz is one point shy of reaching 300 for his career. Summers tallied his eighth goal of the season last Friday and is four shy of 100 goals all-time.

IRON MAN- Travis Wight played in his 150th consecutive game in a Thunder uniform this past Friday. The University of Maine product came to Wichita in 2010-11 and has played in all 66 games the past two seasons. The Thunder record for consecutive games played in a Thunder blue is held by Thunder Assistant Coach Jason Duda, who played in 225-straight games from March 3rd, 2000 to November 18th, 2003.

POWER LINES- Over the last six games, Wichita is 9-for-28 on the power play (32.1%). In back-to-back games on November 24th and November 30th, Wichita went 6-for-10 and was a big reason the team won five-straight. When the Thunder scores on the power play, they are 8-2-1. The Thunder penalty kill has been just as good, only giving up two power play goals in the last eight games.
