The Stockton Thunder continues a 13 game season series against their closest geographic rival, the San Francisco Bulls, at Stockton Arena. The Thunder is 2-4-1 this season against San Francisco and lost the last matchup 5-2 at Stockton Arena on Jan. 20. The home team has won five of the seven meetings this season. The Bulls are fresh off a 3-2 victory in overtime at Alaska on Sunday.

Friday renews a season series between the Thunder and Idaho Steelheads at Stockton Arena, who square off in back to back days for the third and fourth meetings of the season. The Thunder is 1-1-0 against Idaho this season and defeated the Steelheads in the last meeting, 4-3 on Nov. 18 at Stockton Arena. The two games are expected to draw large crowds to Stockton Arena during a special promotional weekend. Saturday's game ends the season long seven game homestand for the Thunder.

WEEK IN REVIEW

STK 2 - UTA 1 (1/27/13): A rock solid Cody Reichard (11-7-5) made 39 saves in goal and helped the Stockton Thunder (22-16-8, 52 points) avoid a winless weekend with a 2-1 victory over the Utah Grizzlies in front of 4,033 at Stockton Arena on Sunday. Forward Yannick Riendeau and center Harrison Reed each found the back of the net for the Thunder. Defenseman Ryan Constant earned an assist (the 100th of his professional career) on Riendeau's goal and finished with two assists on the night.

UTA 4 - STK 3 (OT) (1/26/13): The fur was flying in the Stockton Thunder's eighth-annual Teddy Bear Toss game, which saw thousands of teddy bears fly onto the ice in a wild affair. The back-and-forth battle went to overtime thanks to Mitch Wahl's goal with 30 seconds left in regulation, and Mark Isherwood won it in overtime for the Utah Grizzlies, sending the Stockton Thunder (21-16-8, 50 points) to a 4-3 defeat in front of 8,026 fans at Stockton Arena on Saturday. Center Harrison Reed led the way with two goals, including the teddy bear goal just over five minutes into the first period. Center Justin Maylan chipped in with a goal in the third period.

UTA 4 - STK 2 (1/25/13): Ian Schultz scored twice and sparked a third period rally to help the Utah Grizzlies send the Stockton Thunder (21-16-7, 49 points) to a 4-2 defeat before 4,256 fans at Stockton Arena on Friday. Playing in his first game with the Thunder, forward Maxime Boisclair notched his first goal with the Thunder in the first period. Center Harrison Reed collected an assist on Boisclair's goal and added one of his own in the second period.

Go Red Passport Cards will be given to the first 1,000 fans (18 and over) to enter to win great prizes. A portion of event proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.
