03/17/2017 2:35 PM - Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the NHL's Calgary Flames, announce that goaltender Mason McDonald and defenseman Keegan Kanzig have been recalled to the Heat, from the club's ECHL affiliate, the Adirondack Thunder, while defenseman Ryan Culkin has been reassigned to Adirondack. In a separate transaction, goaltender J.P. Anderson was released from his PTO with the Toronto Marlies and has returned to the Thunder.

McDonald, 20, is in his first season pro having appeared in 28 games for the Thunder posting a 13-9-5 record. He's a week removed from posting his first pro shutout, stopping all 29 shots he faced against the Manchester Monarchs on March 10.

Kanzig, 22, has split the season between the Heat and Adirondack Thunder, appearing in 6 games with the Heat and recording 2 assists while also appearing in 32 games with the Thunder and recording 5 points. He scored his first pro goal on March 11 against the Manchester Monarchs.

Culkin, 23, has appeared in five games with the Thunder this season, where he's collected six points (1-5-6). The 6-2 blueliner has also skated in 19 AHL games this season with the Heat and 83 throughout his AHL career.

Anderson, 24, has appeared in 19 ECHL games this season with Adirondack and Wheeling, where he has recorded a 10-4-3 record, along with a .905 save percentage. The 6-0 goaltender has also skated in one AHL game this season with the Albany Devils.
